Kid Congo and the Pink Monkey Birds bring the kind of rock show that feels built for a room like Bottom of the Hill: loud, loose and a little unpredictable. Led by Kid Congo Powers, whose history runs through some of punk and garage rock’s most influential corners, the band leans into swampy garage grooves, psychedelic edges and bluesy grit without sounding stuck in the past. The lineup also includes East Bay power pop outfit The Wind-Ups and San Francisco’s Universal Beat, making the night a full showcase of scrappy local energy alongside a seasoned performer. This is a good pick for anyone who likes their rock shows with character, where the songs feel lived-in and the venue feels like part of the performance.
