Hailing from Virginia, 23-year-old Will Toledo self-recorded 11 albums in five years before moving to Seattle and forming his first real band, Car Seat Headrest. His work didn't go unnoticed by Matador Records, who signed the young musician and released his indie label debut, Teens of Style, a breathtakingly ambitious album with rough-hewn anthems that recall peak-era Built to Spill or Modest Mouse.
