Time Out says

It had been seven years since Garbage released an album, but you wouldn't have known it from Shirley Manson & Co.'s 2012 LP, Not Your Kind of People, which oozed the type of ’90s comfort food that devotees of the Madison alt-rock institution have come to expect. Their newest album (and second independent release), Strange Little Birds, maintains those hallmarks but veers into an ominous, cinematic atmosphere. Catch them before they go back underground, appearing here with ambient pop act Cigarettes After Sex.
