If you’re an avid bookworm, classical music lover or a fan of whole-roasted pork, this week’s roundup of San Francisco events won’t disappoint.

Monday: Start your week on a classy note

On July 16, Revolution Cafe is hosting a Chamber Music Night, where guests can experience chamber music in a relaxed, comfortable setting, with a drink in hand. The event is put on by Classical Revolution with the goal of making live chamber music accessible to the masses. Admission is free, but a $5 to $20 donation is recommended.

Tuesday: Drink mezcal and taco ‘bout it

Savor the creations of women chefs from Media Noche, Nicole Marin, and Uma Casa as they go tortilla-to-tortilla at this first-of-its-kind the taco competition. A portion of the proceeds from the taco showdown will be donated to both NARAL Pro-Choice America and Planned Parenthood of Northern California. Guests can enjoy spicy competition, tantalizing takes on tacos, and stiff mezcal-infused cocktails.

Tuesday: Free hotdogs + peanuts at Shanghai Kelly's

Watch the annual MLB All-Star Game from the long-standing Nob Hill saloon, Shanghai Kelly's, while you snack on FREE hot dogs (with all the fixings) and toasted, warmed peanuts. Be sure to get there at 5pm sharp to ensure you grab a hot dog before they run out.

Tuesday: Be a bad artist

Go ahead and paint outside the lines at the 3rd Annual Bad Art Night for Adults. Bring your creativity (or lack thereof) to the Mountain View Public Library at 6pm this Tuesday, then use the given supplies to create something beautiful. The “art” will be displayed at 8pm, and the winner of the most hideous work will be rewarded with a hella tacky trophy and questionable bragging rights.

Wednesday: Embrace your wanderlust

Are you a fan of outdoor adventures and viral TED talks? Swing by Impact Hub on Wednesday for She Venture and hear TED-style talks from speakers that’ll surely get your entrepreneurial and nomadic juices flowing.

Thursday: Enjoy a rooftop carnival

Did you know that the Westfield San Francisco once featured a ferris wheel, merry-go-round, slide, and bounce house at a holiday Rooftop Carnival in the 1950s? This Thursday, relive the fun with drinks, bits and games on the roof of the mall.

Thursday: See Star Wars by the water

Find your space on the waterfront lawn and enter a galaxy far, far away. On Thursday, Outdoor Waterfront Flicks will screen Star Wars: The Last Jedi at 8pm in Jack London Square.

Thursday: Laugh at Tinder horror stories

Have you ever been on a Tinder date from hell? Find some solace from your regrettable right swipe with an evening filled with laughs at Cobb’s Comedy Club’s special, Tindervention. Be sure to RSVP in advance so you can attend for free; otherwise, you’ll have to pay the $23 ticket fee at the door.

Friday: Find a book (or books)

Stock up on summer reading material at SF’s premier book festival, SF Art Book Fair. Cherry pick from a collection of books (new and used), magazines, and monographs from over 100 independent publishers, antiquarian dealers, artists, and collectors from all across the United States.

Saturday: Watch some world-class ultimate frisbee matches

The Revolution 2018: Ultimate Frisbee Tournament is one of the largest of its kind in the country, drawing frisbee teams that compete at the national, regional and sectional club levels. Take a bleacher seat or sprawl out by the side lines at Golden Gate Park this Saturday, and watch in awe as frisbee are caught with near gymnastic-like grabs.

Sunday: Go whole-hog

Stop by Chop Bar this Sunday for their annual pig roast, put on in partnership with Old Kan Beer Company. From 4pm to 8pm, chow down on some excellent pork belly paired with $5 beers and Fernet.
