This week in SF: Food fests, local celebs and the chance to wear a tuxedo to the beach.

Monday: Eat free meatballs for dinner

We know what you're doing for dinner. Order a large pizza from Patxi’s Pizza (for sit-down, to-go or delivery) and get the meatball appetizer for free.

Monday: Burn your bad karma

Partake in this modern spin on the 600-year-old Rosh Hashanah tradition called Tashlich—ridding yourself of last year’s bad karma by tossing crumbs into the ocean. The twist? You'll use birdseed instead of bread to be better stewards of the environment and enjoy s'mores roasted over a bonfire instead of the traditional sweets.

Tuesday: Find your tribe over coffee and bagels

Stop by Mindspace on Tuesday morning to hear Daybreaker co-founder Radha Agrawal chat about her new book, BELONG: Find Your People, Create Community and Live a More Connected Life. Argawal will share her tips on how to intentionally cultivate meaningful friendships.

Tuesday: Get hyped with trap yoga

ShakeYaAsana invites you to move through a series of traditional yoga poses with a techno-dance-hall soundtrack. The LED lit walls hype the mood while tunes from Kendrick Lamar, Lil’ Kim, The Ying Yang Twins and more fill the room. Along the way, you’ll engage in core power yoga, pilates, and lower body exercises for a full-body workout.

Wednesday: Have dinner with Juanita!MORE

The city’s beloved drag queen Juanita!MORE is hosting the inaugural More!Jones family-style dinner this week from 5pm-9pm. Expect impromptu drag performances and lots of fried chicken.

Wednesday: Listen to W. Kamau Bell

Comedian, television personality and author W. Kamau Bell will be in San Francisco to chat with Death, Sex & Money host Anna Sale this week. Doors open at 8:30am with free coffee and breakfast bites; afterward, he’ll be signing books.

Thursday: Walk the first-ever Embarcadero Center Wine Walk

A ticket to the al fresco event will get you three hours of unlimited wine tastings at more than 20 shops like Ann Taylor, First Republic Bank, Fitness SF, Kara’s Cupcakes, L’Occitane and more. Use code SEPTEMBERWINE5 for $5 off your ticket (valid Monday only).

Thursday: Learn about climate change

Experience just how a warming world might affect our everyday lives through a series of hands-on exhibits at the Exploratorium. Grab your friends and a drink and hear thought-provoking lectures on climate change.

Friday: Chow down at Eat Real Fest

Eat Real offers delicious street-food and block party fun all weekend long. Learn where food comes from, who grows it, and how to make delicious new recipes as you enjoy bites from your favorite food trucks.

Saturday: Celebrate all things Italian

Walk through Festa Coloniale Italiana in North Beach this Saturday to enjoy Italian music, food and wine and street vendors.

Sunday: Wear a tux to the beach

Don your finest for the 2018 Black Tie Beach Party. Bring your usual beach necessities (blankets, towels, etc.), enjoy oceanside bites and don’t be afraid to get a bit wet. This year’s theme is Bring on the Color, so bust out your brightest dresses, ties, suits and socks.
