After a year long hiatus, Treasure Island Music Festival will return to the Bay Area this fall in a brand new location.

The two-day music festival, which, as the name suggests, used to take place annually on Treasure Island, is keeping true to its promise of "one of the most unique festival backdrops in the world" with a new home right on the shore—Middle Harbor Shoreline Park in West Oakland.

According to a statement released on Tuesday morning, "this new location at MSHP is one where fans can look forward to settling in and making many new Treasure Island memories for years to come."

“We are excited to finally reveal the next chapter of our Festival, which is coming to Oakland this October. The city's vibe, culture and diversity is the backbone of the Bay Area, and one that we are proud to now call home,” said Allen Scott, EVP at Another Planet Entertainment.

This year's fest will take place on October 13–14, 2018 and promises the same eclectic mix of music performances with no overlapping sets that fans have come to love over the last decade.
