The Sound of Space with Ben Burtt and Geeta Dayal

This month’s edition of After Dark at the Exploratorium offers something for everyone, whether you are fascinated by the avant garde roots of electronic music, or groundbreaking husband-wife film composers or having too many cocktails and exploring the Tactile Dome. Sound designer Ben Burtt (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Wall-E) and electronic music scholar Geeta Dayal will present a program on Bebe and Louis Barron, who composed the ground-breaking all electronic score for 1956’s Forbidden Planet, complete with a few short films on loan from the Library of Congress.
