Time Out says

From outside, this looks like a modern update of a classic 1950s diner. Inside, the decor is swankier, and the menu lurches from short rib kimchi tacos to crab cakes and steak frites.

Not my first choice for a restaurant (by the pier but no bread bowls??) but open late with decent food & atmosphere. The food is a bit on the pricier side (a burger is $18 - nothing particularly fancy about it) but the booths are comfortable & the restaurant is clean. The bar is in the middle of the restaurant in an island-style, so there's a lot of different seating options, depending on how big your party is and what you're there for. Best for grabbing late night drinks with friends. The waitstaff isn't the friendliest & the hosts almost won't serve you if you enter in the wrong entrance (which is confusingly the entrance off the main road) so just make sure to go in the right way.
