There are few better places in the city of San Francisco for tea. This serene tea house, an offshoot of the original Chinatown shop, offers a vast array of teas, served to the accompaniment of birds chirping in cages. Presented in the traditional Chinese gaiwan (covered cup), the teas include Fancy Dragon Well, Silver Needle and Snow Water; they're all available to take away too, along with teapots, teacups and other accessories. Don't expect serious food here, although traditional nibbles are served. The outlet inside Berkeley's Epicurious Garden is open daily.
