One of Oakland's true destination restaurants, this Rockridge area hotspot features soul-warming northern Italian fare that is almost entirely handmade, right down to its trademark olive oils and salumi. The speciality is house-cured, grilled and spit-roasted meat, but menus change daily to showcase the freshest available ingredients. The downstairs café features pizzas and baked goods from the wood-fired oven.
