Precita Eyes Mural Arts & Visitors Center

Time Out says

In this part of the Mission, vibrant murals are everywhere. Even the local McDonald's on the corner of Mission and 24th has a technicolour coat. The vivid public art that graces the area's alleys is here largely thanks to the vision of one woman, Susan Cervantes, founder of Precita Eyes Mural Arts & Visitors Center, which celebrated its 30th birthday in 2007. The centre has a shop that carries mural T-shirts, mural maps and mural postcards as well as general art supplies. For the best overview, Precita Eyes runs walking tours: the Mission Trail Mural Walk runs every Saturday and Sunday at 1.30pm ($12); other slightly shorter walks are held at 11am on weekends; private tours are available by appointment.
