Pokémon takes over Moscone Center for three days of seriously high-stakes competition, with the 2026 World Championships bringing top players in Pokémon TCG, VGC, Pokémon GO and UNITE to San Francisco. You do not need to know the difference between a Charizard deck and a championship-caliber VGC team to have a good time, either. Spectators can catch the tournament action alongside side events and the much larger PokémonXP, which adds workshops, meet-and-greets, games, collecting and plenty of chances to wander into something unexpected. The scale is part of the appeal: the convention center becomes a temporary Pokémon campus, complete with themed areas, food and drink, a Pokémon Center outpost and even a Rayquaza trolley. Championship Sunday moves to Chase Center for an expanded arena experience, making this worth a look even if your competitive Pokémon knowledge ends with the original 151.
