Once upon a time, 5 guys put lightning in a bottle and made folk rock music under the name Box Set. Jeff Pehrson, Jim Brunberg, Mark Abbot, Chad Heise and Sammy Johnston had a very long and interesting run in the music business (as opposed to most). They became local celebrities in the Bay Area, won Bammies, went through several record deals, thousands of miles on the road, scores of shattered romances, countless festivals, and at least 2 broken transmissions, but the camaraderie remained. The last show as a band was in March of 2006, and since then the urge to play together has grown until they could no longer deny themselves or their still loyal fans. Their fondest memories, as well as those of their fans, occurred at Slim's, which was more like their living room than a club in those early days. That was the place to have a reunion. The 5 members have scattered across the country, but all roads will lead them back to Slim's to reunite and play songs, new, old and classic.
