Cal Shakes regularly draws on the best Bay Area and national talent in its inventive presentations of Shakespeare and other classic writers, such as Shaw and Marivaux (whose Triumph of Love recently enjoyed an adaptation here). The superb 545-seat Bruns Amphitheatre, set amid rolling hills and the picnic-ready grounds of a eucalyptus grove, is beautiful, but be sure to pack a warm coat for the foggy night air.
