Castro Street Fair

Eat, drink and dance, dance, dance your way across one of the city’s most famous and lovable neighborhoods at the annual Castro Street Fair. Held every year since 1974 on the first Sunday in October, the fest welcomes about 50,000 people into the blocks surrounding Market and Castro Street. A crowd favorite is country western line-dancing at the Sundance Saloon, which you’ll find in the Castro Theatre’s parking lot. Be sure to catch headlining act, winning Prince tribute band The Purple Ones on the main stage at Market Street and Castro.
