Bring the whole family for an afternoon of playing early American roots music through an exploration of the banjo, an instrument of African origin.

Be prepared for an afternoon of fun, interactive hands-on learning, and music making! Bring your guitars and banjos or take turns on one of ours, and explore the roots of American popular music with scholar, educator, and music activist Angela Wellman. Co-taught with banjo player Guy de Chalus. Refreshments will be provided.
