The oldest alternative space in San Francisco, Intersection offers a community-conscious array of artistic undertakings including powerhouse theatre, combining the talents of resident company Campo Santo with visiting playwrights such as Naomi Iizuka and John Steppling. The small theatre isn't hugely comfortable - there are only folding chairs - but performances are intense. There's also a great art gallery upstairs.
