THE COATHANGERS
If you're familiar with The Coathangers then you probably know the Atlanta group's premise. The story goes that four young women decided to start a band for the sole purpose of being able to hang out and play parties. They weren't going to let the fact that none of them knew how to play any instruments get in the way of their having a good time. In the seven years since their formation, The Coathangers have released a slew of records and toured across North America and Europe countless times. The persistence of such a casual endeavor is a testament to the infectious quality of their songs and the electric nature of their unruly live show.

THE BIRTH DEFECTS
Punishing unassuming ears, Los Angeles’ The Birth Defects deliver uniquely their own nitro-fueled thrashy garage punk. The four-piece band is guitarist and singer Jason Finazzo, former members of Bleached and Thee Oh Sees, Jon Safley and Petey Dammit on bass and guitar, rotating Jason Gerken and Steven Heet on drums. Finazzo and Safley conceived the project working late nights together at gritty LA bars and later asked Gerken and San Francisco's Petey Dammit to join them.

DIRTY DENIM
Combining obscure sixties garage with 50’s/60’s girl rock and neo-garage punk, all girl trio Dirty Denim bring a refreshing bit of fan fetishism to the impetus of sleazy rock ‘n roll. Wearing their influences firmly on their sleeves, Dirty Denim are not genre “rock revivalists” in any conventional sense of the word. Although their brand of primal, from the groin distortion laden rock aesthetic certainly appeals to the vintage apparel set in songs like “Green Eyed Monster” and “Hit the Wall”, these girls aren’t trying to re-invent the wheel.
