Time Out says

The California Academy of Sciences is one of the few places where grabbing a cocktail can lead to a walk through a rainforest. Every Thursday, NightLife hands the museum over to the 21-and-over crowd, and this edition invites you to spend the evening roaming among more than 60,000 animals, from free-flying butterflies in the four-story rainforest to venomous creatures and the Academy's towering Philippine Coral Reef. Wander through the immersive Vivid: Immerse Your Senses exhibition, catch a planetarium show, or simply follow your curiosity from one exhibit to the next. DJs keep the energy up while bars and food vendors turn the museum into one of the city's most unconventional nights out. It's equal parts science museum, cocktail party, and date night, which is exactly why NightLife has become a San Francisco Thursday tradition.
