Patriotic. Family friendly. Reliable. Are we talking about old Uncle Sam here? No way. We’re talking about Pier 39’s annual July 4th Celebration, popular with loyal locals and tourists alike. Here’s your best shot to spy some fireworks, thanks to the landmark’s 180-degree Bay views. Live music by 7th grade wunderkinds WJM and 80s cover masters Tainted Love begins at 1:30 p.m., so you have plentiful time to look for parking before the sun sets and the light show begins.
