This hip and prestigious art school offers the full spectrum of fine arts, including painting, film, photography, sculpture and new media. Its student shows are legendary. Most people visit to see Diego Rivera's mural The Making of a Fresco, one of various works he complete in San Francisco in the 1930s. If you're worn out from climbing all those hills, have a rest in the pretty open-air courtyard, or grab a cheap snack in the cafeteria and soak up the views.
