Tankcsapda is the most popular heavy metal band in the history of Hungary. The band was formed in 1989, in Debrecen. The group started off as a power trio of bass, guitar and drums but has continuously expanded their repertoire with different musicians and elements of heavy rock music and their Motorhead-infused riffs have been an unquestionable influence on Hungary's burgeoning rock scene. Their name translates to "tank trap" and they have roved through various decades and thousands of record sales that they have ensnared thousands of metal fans worldwide into a trap from which they do not want to escape from.
