The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude

SF Ballet’s bravest dancers tackle choreographer William Forsythe’s notoriously difficult piece. Though it only clocks in at 11 minutes, the lightning-fast performance once brought ballet master Katita Waldo to tears. Three other dances—Variations for Two Couples, Manifesto and The Kingdom of the Shades from La Bayadère—round out the evening.
