Taking recognizable objects from life, Kuri gathers objects like the mysteries of a jigsaw puzzle, and assembles them into a poetic combination. Using volcanic rocks as a placeholder, the artist wedges a blown-up condom between the two rocks, and in “Thank you clouds (2004),” garbage bags are mounted onto ceiling fans to mimic deformed clouds. But how in the world did he print out a giant receipt? Find out Jun 4–Jul 5.
