The Modest Height

The Dong people, one of the 55 ethnic minorities in China, live a slow-paced yet interdependent life in Sanjiang county, in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous. Chinese painter Liang Qunfeng, who was moved by their way of life, paid frequent visits to the region and its people and captured the sceneries of Sanjiang on canvas. The paintings, done in warm colors and delicate brush strokes, convey the artist’s affection for the people there.
