Arthouse Momo

Experience the inventive design of French architect Dominique Perrault at Arthouse Momo, which is located in the Ehwa Campus Complex of Ehwa Womans University. The Ehwa Campus Complex was built by digging into the slop of what used to be a sports playing field. Thanks to its unique angled design, if you walk straight along the center path between the rising slopes of the building, you'll end up on the fourth basement floor, which houses the cinema, without having taken a single step down. Somehow, it doesn’t feel like you are underground at all. The cinema has two screens and seats about 140 people, showing both commercial and independent films. It adopted the same projector equipment of the now-closed Kodak Theater in Los Angeles, and is praised for the high quality and colors of its movies. Fans of architecture and movie theater fanatics alike will appreciate this theater.
