This independent film theater is located near Gwanghwamun and Jongno. It’s small but cozy with one screen housing 76 seats, a ticket office, café, and souvenir store selling movie posters and post cards. Comic books and movie posters decorate the lobby, bringing many old-time movie fans to Sponge House.
The seats are quite wide and cushiony, but a word of warning: there is little difference in height among the seat rows. So if you’re seated behind a fairly tall person, you might not have the greatest view.
