Time Out says

3 out of 5 stars

If Hongdae is the heart of the Korean indie music scene, then Rolling Hall is the beating heart of the heart (we swear that’s a song lyric, somewhere…). In any case, as one of the largest and oldest live music venues in Hongdae, Rolling Hall has brought both underground bands and big acts to the stage over its two decades, including the iconic Yoon Do Hyun Band, 90s rock group Cherry Filter and indie favorite Crying Nut. They’ve also hosted international artists like Grimes in recent years.

The basement space is large, accommodating up to 600 people standing, but be prepared for crowds nonetheless at some of Rolling Hall’s more popular concerts. Tip: there’s no bar inside and outside drinks are not allowed, so either get your fix ahead of time or keep your cool and focus on enjoying the music.
