Time Out says

Gamchil is a fusion Korean restaurant. As its name suggests ("gamchil" means "savory" in Korean), the dishes served at Gamchil are savory and delicious. Pasta dishes flavored with Korean ingredients are the most popular menu items, and include wild chive cream pasta, soft tofu tomato pasta, red pepper bacon pasta, and dried radish green vongole.

Their other signature dishes are a light and clean tasting chicken tenderloin, baek kimchi (white kimchi) fried rice, and wild chive miso cream pasta with savory miso cream topped with wild chives. The chef’s recommended special is soft-tofu tomato ramen and hwangtae (braised dried pollack) ramen. This dish, we have been assured, is the best cure for a hangover after a night of drinking.

The interior is reminiscent of a Korean school hallway, with the upper half of the wall painted in white and the lower half in green. The owner did so with the intention of letting customers to feel at ease with nostalgic memories of childhood. Liquor, including Mt. Halla soju, is sold alongside nine types of beers, including San Miguel draft, Great White, Big Wave and London Pride.
