You don’t need to worry about what to order at this chain establishment because there’s only one thing on the menu: the perilla seed samgye-tang. Opened in 1990, this one dish is at the root of the restaurant’s success, and one taste will prove why: the roasted flavor of the perilla seeds in the rice porridge compliments the chicken in the middle of the bowl, and lasts until the last spoon. The restaurant also serves fresh peppers and cucumbers as complimentary niblets on the side, which you can take turns eating with your samgye-tang.
