Jean Boulangerie is always full and lines are unavoidable at any time of the day, their most popular items are the ones with cream cheese and red bean fillings. Their signature roll filled with red beans comes out at various times during the day and you have to ask for it at the counter, as it’s not displayed with the other regular goods. I highly doubted a red bean paste bread could really be all that special, but after trying one, I could see what all the excitement was about. It’s larger in size and the bread is soft and light. Most importantly, it’s full of red bean paste that is both sweet and savory thanks to the nuts that complement the red beans.
