Stefano’s Kitchen is a restaurant famous for its tasty carbonara pasta in the Hongdae vicinity. They stick to authentic Italian recipes using fresh egg yolks. Leery of the smell of raw eggs? You can lose that thought: the egg yolks add flavor to the dish with an aromatic and clean taste. Despite being famous for carbonara, the chef’s favorite menu items are ortolana and verdure. What's that, you ask? Ortolana is a pasta blended with plenty of vegetables including zucchini, pumpkin, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, and grilled eggplants mixed in penne noodles. Verdure is a pizza with a handful of vegetables and mushrooms that have been marinated and grilled. By the way, we happen to hear that while it's not on the menu, if you're craving a calzone or risotto, simply ask the good-looking chef on the other side of the teak wood finished open kitchen. In nice weather, the terrace is available for outdoor dining during spring, early summer and fall.
