Time Out says

4 out of 5 stars

This well-known eatery in Cheongdam area has a reputation for high quality sushi. As they insist on serving only wild-caught rather than farm-raised fish, it has a price tag to match. Nevertheless, come here if you're looking for proper sushi in Seoul. A succession of chefs have left slight changes in their style over the years, but the basics are always very sound, enhanced also by the proficient hotel grade staff. The high level of competence can be seen in their simple but meaningful settings from the moment you are seated. The highlight of Sushi Chohi comes at the sushi bar. Omakase, which means leaving everything to the whim of the chef, is a course meal consisting the day’s best ingredients selected by the chef and prepared in the ways that he is most confident. Sitting at the bar, where it is possible to view and enjoy the chef’s dexterous skill with fish and rice is always popular, so a reservation is highly advised.
