Vista Pub

Banpo Hangang Park is without a doubt one of the Seoulites' favorite picnic spots. And even aside from all the water and nature that surrounds it, what makes this place extra special is the futuristic landmark Some Sevit, a.k.a. the Floating Islands. Each of the 3 floating buildings on the man-made island has a name of its own: Viva, Tera and Vista. The largest of them is Vista, which is best known as the home to Vista Pub, a casual dining lounge located on the 3rd floor featuring a stunning view of the vast river. While located on a somewhat touristy spot, it's actually quite refined and extremely casual at the same time. All of its available seats provides a panoramic view of Han River, Yeouido's 63 Building and all the way towards Seoul Tower resting on top of Namsan. On the menu are several types of pizza, pasta and steak as well as bar snacks priced at an affordable range. Upstairs on the 4th floor is the outdoor bar, Terrace on the Bay, where plenty of comfy couches and tables allow guests to relax while sipping on some great cocktails. You can go higher up by taking the stairs to the 5th floor to the rooftop if that’s what you prefer. One downside is that, although both the 4th and 5th floors are featured with great spaces to enjoy being outdoors, the solid railings make it impossible for you to enjoy the full scenery when sitting down on the sofas.Note that the Terrace on the Bay is only open during spring and fall seasons—no matter how much you love Seoul's unforgiving summer heat and freezing winters, you won’t be able to gain access until the warmer and cooler seasons. Also, there are days when the whole venue is booked for events, so you should check in advance. Of the events that take place at the Vista Pub is the Deluxe Sunset Party organized by Pute Deluxe. It's a series of rooftop parties featuring some of the most brilliant DJ's of Seoul and an eclectic mix of patrons who come to create a unique energy. Whether it's for a happening party or a full course meal with a date, Vista Pub is a kind of place you'll want to return to year after year.
