Kartell

Kartell came all the way from Italy, and has become the wish list of many Seoulites. We've all seen the transparent, black and white Ghost Chairs, at a high end hotel, a wedding hall or a design nerd's home. Indeed, the Ghost series' look itself has become the name for this contemporary designer furniture brand. While made out of plastic, the Ghost Chairs are sturdy and very much fashionable. Yes, you can even find knock offs pretty easily, but once you visit the store located inside Lotte World Mall, you'll know what the spiel is (and very possibly wish to take more than one color home even if you're not really into decorating your homes). The Bourgie Lamps, in funky shades of light blue, crystal and silver are also popular items here. And for this winter season, gold and silver Componibili Storage Containers are in. Interestingly, you can find hand bags (Grace K models) and shoes here as well. And yes, they are made by Kartell, with collaborations with fashion designers. They exude a sense of humor while retaining Kartell's signature innovation. Tempting? This Lotte World Mall location will have a 20 pecent sale event for a month, from November 25th. If you want an 'experience' of contemporary designer furniture, it might be a good idea to head here during this holiday period.
