These days, it seems that Seoul is close to becoming a gastronomical phenomenon. Creative new restaurants are popping up here and there, and it's through the bold and risky endeavors of the brilliant chefs that are raising the bar in the city. Namely, Chef D. Christian Kim of El Pino 323, Matthew J. Chung of The Beastro and Joseph Lidgerwood of Josephs Korea are undoubtedly some of the most prominent players of the gastronomical adventures that we've been welcoming with open arms.
From Friday the 24th through Sunday the 26th, these celebrated chefs who've been winning the hearts of many with their awesome creations are coming together for the 3-day pop-up, Golmok Gourmet, at Itaewon’s Urban Collective. The first day will be filled with ‘Homestyle Mexican’ by Chef D, the second day will be ‘New American’ by Matthew J. Chung and third day will be ‘Modern Korean’ by Joseph Lidgerwood (whose previous 4-day pop-up event was all sold out). Bob Louison, an award-winning bartender from France, will add each course with his alcoholic magic. Visit the event website (www.golmokgourmet.com) for more information.
