Time Out says

Private boutiques have been emerging around Seoul’s unique urban landscape as the new trend for the past couple of years. Some really small, others quite large, these stores are not only important for progressing Seoul’s vibrant and colorful habitat, but also showcasing Seoulites’ capabilities, long overshadowed by big conglomerates. From bakeries to handmade jewelers, design studios to milliners, Seoul Deign Spot Tour under the theme #Play will preview the best Seoul has to offer under 4 categories (Eat, Buy, See and Feel), with exclusive discounts and events at each shop. Some venues are already on Time Out’s website (list provided below), for referral if you need. The 11 day ‘tour’ preceding the Seoul Design Festival (one of Korea’s biggest annual design festivals), will present 225 ‘spots’ over 12 districts including Bukchon, Seochon, Hongdae/Sangsu/Hapjeong, Yeonhui/Yeonnam-dong, Seongsudong-gil, Hannam, Gyeongridan, Usadan-ro, Garosu-gil, Dosan-daero, Bangbae-ro 42-gil and Dongdaemun/Myeongdong. Check out their website (www.designspot.co.kr) for detailed venue information and the available discounts at each store. This year’s official partner is the Samsung Serif TV and they’re holding a special event for you to try your luck at any of the select ’30 Serif Spots’ (list available online), so don’t miss out on this!
