The Korean Publishers Association started the Seoul International Book Fair back in 1995 and the fair’s been growing stronger by the year. From an attendee’s point of view, there are hundreds of publishers from Korea and abroad that offer you an inside look at their philosophy, art and literature. Boggling with likeminded bibliophiles, the book fair is a rare chance to make the normally independent activity of reading a social affair. Included on the program will be book signings by renowned authors, children’s book readings, exhibitions and other cultural events. The theme of “read the culture, read the world” will ring through the festival which features Italy as its guest of honor. Kid-friendly, this event’s clean, wholesome fun for the entire family.
