Showcasing passion, technicality, talent, energy and many artistic values, the Guitar Fest returns! It will be a night of melodious goodness, with feet tapping tunes featuring talented guitarists from around the world! The Guitar fest will also be showcasing local talent and it will be taking place in Colombo, Kurunegala, and Jaffna. Moreover, it is free to the public.
This event, which, is organised by The Guitar Association of Sri Lanka, will be a great platform for guitar enthusiasts and a great opportunity for amateurs searching for inspiration.
Guitarist Ungrumso Raman from India and Ken Gonzo Sugamata from Japan will be apart of the guitar festival. The event will showcase the work of local and foreign guitarists and present a range of musical genres like, classical, flamenco, jazz, pedal steel, trova, heavy metal, rock, bass guitar solo, fusion and North Indian classical.
The event will begin with its first performance at Nawa Rangahala Hall on the January 24, 2016 and with the second performance at Y M B A Auditorium, Kurunegala on January 25, 2016 and at Navalar Hall, Nallu, Jaffna on January 26, 2016 and will conclude with the final performance at Dr Amaradewa Auditorium, Mihintale.
The entrance is free of charge.
