Tampa Theatre says

The man born David Jones was known by many names: Ziggy Stardust. Major Tom. The Goblin King. The world lost a visionary artist when David Bowie succumbed to cancer this past week, but he will be forever remembered as much for his ground-breaking music and otherworldly style as for his chameleon-like movie roles and fairytale love story with supermodel wife Iman.
In tribute, Tampa Theatre will open its doors for a free community movie night screening of Bowie’s 1983 fantasy thriller THE HUNGER.

Bowie plays John Blaylock, husband and lover of the gorgeous immortal vampire Miriam (Catherine Deneuve). John believes that he, too, will live forever, but instead, he quickly deteriorates into a horrible living death as Miriam seeks a new companion. He seeks the help of Dr. Sarah Roberts (Susan Sarandon), a scientist who studies the blood’s role in premature aging, but Sarah quickly falls under Miriam’s spell and risks becoming the next in her long line of eternally aging victims.

Tickets are not required for this free event, but seating is limited.
