Auditions for Fox on the Fairway
by Ken Ludwig

Directed by Miguel E. Rodriguez

The Fox On the Fairway takes audiences on a hilarious romp which pulls the rug out from underneath the stuffy denizens of a private country club. Filled with mistaken identities, slamming doors, and over-the-top romantic shenanigans, it’s a furiously paced comedy that recalls the Marx Brothers’ classics. A charmingly madcap adventure about love, life, and man’s eternal love affair with…golf.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.

3 men, 3 women

In order of appearance:

JUSTIN HICKS: Mid-20s, offbeat, sweet, anxious, a bundle of nerves. The "man-génue" of the show.

LOUISE HEINDBEDDER: A waitress at the club. Early to mid 20s, a knockout, leggy, good-natured, a little ditzy. The ingénue. She's in her own world which is very innocent and wonderful to visit.

DICKIE BELL: Mid-40s, executive director of Crouching Squirrel Country Club. An unpleasant (but not evil) man full of bonhomie. Likes ugly sweaters.

HENRY BINGHAM: Mid-40s, executive director of Quail Valley Country Club. A little high-strung, passionate about winning, blustery.

PAMELA PEABODY: About 39...or so. Beautiful, extremely soigné, or neat, tidy, trim. (We looked it up.) Her clothes are impeccable and she has seen it all. Clearly a member of the club.

MURIEL BINGHAM: Henry's wife. A sturdy, no-nonsense woman in a pork-pie hat. Keeps Henry in line, whether he likes it or not.
