This training will benefit professionals working in the fields of infant health, occupational therapy, physical therapy, dance/movement therapy, yoga, somatic therapy, craniosacral therapy, somatic psychology, birth psychology, early intervention, pediatrics, post partum doula, and baby nursing to name a few.

This training will focus on babies from birth to rolling with an emphasis on tummy time and infant anatomical development, as well as mobile babies from crawling through sitting, pulling up and walking.

Participants will gain experiential knowledge of infant developmental movement patterns, principles of pre and perinatal psychology and health, theory, observation skills, and activities for incorporating this work into your own professional practice. We will explore our own movement patterns, learn through all levels of the brain and senses, and observe demonstration classes via both media materials and visiting babies.

Training Objectives:

Gain experiential knowledge of infant developmental movement patterns and how they relate to yoga asanas
Learn about spinal development, and the "sacred architecture of the body," leading toward human vertical stance and how it relates to yoga
Explore your own developmental movement patterns and correlate to your yoga practice
Learn about how pregnancy and birth can influence body/mind growth and behavior
Learn basic baby yoga/development movement class sequences for newborn and mobile babies.
