Novice yogi looking for an in depth understanding of basics? Perhaps you’re an experienced practitioner hoping for a refresher course in the foundational asanas? If either description fits you or if you seek a deeper exploration of your yoga practice, this workshop is for you. Intertwining a detailed breakdown of postures with distinct flows, this session will allow participants to develop both an appreciation of individual asanas and develop an understanding of the interconnectedness of them.

Below is a descriptions of some of the poses that will be explored during the workshop.

Virabhadrasana I, II, III - Warrior I, Warrior II, Warrior III
Elementary poses that are more in depth than a quick glance might suggest. Hip rotation is key in all three Warrior poses, but so is finding length along the spine. As is the case with all poses, maintaining a firm base also helps keep you steady and strong.

Tadasana - Mountain Pose
Standing still takes work. Mountain pose is an active resting posture. Consequently, yogis are invited to return to their breath while engaging the quads, elongating the spine, and rolling the shoulders down the back.

This workshop will be led by Allyson Diljohn and costs $35 per person.
