Dog Fest Walk 'n' Roll Tampa - Sunday Nov. 8 11 AM - 3 PM. Carole Weaver, GFWC Florida president for 2014-2016, has chosen Canine Companions for Independence and its Wounded Veterans Initiative, as her president’s project. CCI has created a very special webpage just for our state project: GFWC Florida District 8 Register for the DogFest Tampa event on Nov. 8 at this link Visit this site for much more and watch for updates on as well.

DogFest Walk 'n Roll is the signature national event of Canine Companions for Independence. It will engage communities across the country in an event that raises money to support the mission, recruits volunteers to help propel the mission, and educates the public about the organization’s life-changing work of providing highly-trained service dogs to people with disabilities. This event is very similar to Relay for Life, as it is team oriented fundraising with a celebration at the end. This district-wide event allows each individual club to raise monies and pool them together to achieve a district goal at DogFest Walk 'n Roll .

DogFest Walk 'n Roll goal is to raise monies for 1 puppy plus 18% expenses. Total goal is rounded to $60,000.
At this time, DogFest Walk 'n Roll Tampa has partnered with USF Health. The site is at USF and is set for Sunday, November 8. USF Health would like to exceed UCF's goal: $70,500.

Each club has a Canine Companions for Independence chair. That chair may create a team or assign it to an
enthusiatic member. Each club may do its own fundraisers or combine with other clubs.
