Film Screening: Dario Argento's Suspiria says
FILM SCREENING: part 2 of our "Frightful Fall Features" – Suspiria. From Italian horror film master Dario Argento, Suspiria is widely considered a giallo masterpiece of cult cinema. Originally released in 1977, the film is “as grandiose and glossy as it is gory,” and features unforgettable production design, stunning art direction and vivid, dreamlike cinematography that's drenched in eye-popping Technicolor. A truly nightmarish film, with a classic musical score from Italian prog band Goblin. Just in time for Halloween!

The evening kicks off at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour, which will feature music selections from DJ Suspiria (guess where his moniker came from), themed craft cocktails, and food available for purchase from Tastes of Tampa Bay Catering Company. Local artist and cinema-lover Brian Taylor (who periodically holds his own film series, Sleep of Reason) will introduce the film and provide insight about its lasting significance in cinema.
