This Friday night, EIGHT different art galleries and spaces in the Seminole Heights area will be extending their hours, allowing visitors to see up to 8 different art shows in one night.

Tempus Projects, "Where the Grass is Green and the Girls are Pretty"
New work from the photography collective, Fountain of Pythons, exploring a sense of place, not only as a simple location, but as a psychological setting where life is performed and art is created.

QUAID Gallery, “Custom Effect”
A long distance collaboration between artists Christina Humphreys (FL) and Eileen Isagon Skyers (OR). QUAID in Tampa and Surplus Space in Portland will both be curated to include collaborations and artworks from each artist, transferring content across both digital and physical expanses in an effort to examine screens and their peripheral accessories as objects of devotion, dispersion, and fractal temporalities.

Disco Dolls, “Ladybird”
The Disco Dolls Studio will be showing in-house studio artist, Beth Emery, entitled "Ladybirds". It is a series of oil paintings on canvas with handcrafted frames, full of vibrant color, bold brushstrokes, and deliberate emotion.

The Rialto Theatre’s featured artist for August is Julianne French, whose newest work brings into focus the relationship between architecture of western and middle-eastern cultures in connection to architecture from the past one hundred years in America, specifically in the South.

An art gallery and glass featuring glass products, Phoenix Glass Studio will be having an open house during First Fridays. The furnace will be on as well with demonstrations from a new studio assistant.

Centre for Girls, “Seeing Color Everywhere”
A show of watercolor paintings by Kathy Durdin using unusual and unexpected color combinations with a broad range of themes, from the beauty and movement of dance to the seriousness of a 19th-century battlefield.
