Timothy Read served two tours in Afghanistan in the 26 Gulf Company, 2nd Battalion 6th Marines. During his second tour Tim was shot in the leg, but did not want to leave his company. He stayed and returned to his combat duties. A month later he stepped on an IED and loss that same leg. From that explosion Tim also incurred severe damage to his other leg and a traumatic brain injury. This young man is so loyal of the Marines that his fiancée told me he wants to have a military wedding and will be wearing his dress blue uniform.

His best man and groomsmen will also be in their dress blue uniforms. His best man lost his leg below the knee in combat. His groomsman is a double amputee losing both legs.
His other groomsman was shot in the neck.
