Summer Camp For Children: Visual Storytelling

Florida Museum of Photographic Arts says
Starting June 8
As photographers we have the power to tell stories of extraordinary and mundane moments that will become a part of our collective history. In this course students will let their imaginations run free and learn to let the images speak for themselves. We will explore the key elements one must know to tell realistic and compelling visual stories. We will discover how to work with the environment, friends and our family members without manipulating or posing. The end result will be stepping away with a creative depiction of life in photographs.
The beginning of the week we will learn how to use and set up the camera for an interesting composition. This will cover going over compositional strategies, creative designs, and what settings to use to capture an image. Lastly, we will learn how to photograph and display our images to best showcase them as they are: stories. Throughout this week we will be capturing and writing about the work so students will walk away confidently with creative, interesting tactics to continue with their photography.
