The Us Community Committee presents:

The Standard: A monthly concert returning Live Music back to The Essence from whence it came.

"The Standard" will serve as a periodic musical gathering that will feature different genres of the highest quality performing artist in the area. The Bay Area and surrounding regions possess some of the richest pools of talent, that has not yet received their proper recognition for the work that they have put in over an extended period of time. Work that is reflected in their craft, and in particular, the art of performance. Artist that take their time to dedicate themselves through practice, sacrifice, and discipline to hone their skills and stay True to their art form. This monthly show will highlight them. Authenticity and Originality is a must in order to be within any of The Standard's lineups.

It will also serve as a centralized point of contact for all real artist, in the name of building a network of musicians, and encouraging ones to combine their resources and talents together so we can all help each other express ourselves creatively, and provide opportunities that we will all benefit from. Someone has to step out and do it, not in the name of taking advantage of people through exploitation of their situation, but rather for the purpose of using the music for what it's Truly designed for, and that is the cleansing and healing of our Souls. Music is pure and it helps all of us day in and day out, to survive in this vanity filled, wicked world. This is what The Standard shall represent. I myself, Yourhighness Tafari will use The Strength of The Realness and the backage of The Us Community Committee and all True Hearts, to do what is necessary for our local musical family.

For this month, we will also feature Spoken Word Performing Artist!
