Time Out says

Construction is now done on Madison Street and Flicks + Food Trucks is back in session! Join us on every third Thursday of each month now to enjoy your favorite food truck event in Tampa starting this coming March 19th, 2015! About the event: Since 2012 - Every 3rd Thursday of the month is gourmet Food Truck fun, independent short Flicks and some Micro-brews and live Music too! Join us for some all out – outside food fun located at Grand Central at Kennedy 1208 E. Kennedy Blvd 33602. Created by Tampa Bay Markets, Inc. local grass roots company that creates and operates open-air, fresh Markets and other local events for the Tampa Bay area, Flicks + Food Trucks offers space to 15 local and gourmet food trucks and mobile food carts each month. The event takes place on the 1200 Block of Madison Street where a street closure is in place and parking spaces are assigned to mobile food vendors. The event opens at 6pm sharp and ends at 10pm. On average Flicks + Food Trucks draws a minimum of 1000-1500 fans from all points of Tampa Bay. A significant amount of those fans live within the residential areas of the Chanel District, Downtown Tampa and at Grand Central at Kennedy. Local independent short films are sourced through our local communication channels and booked in advance. They show at sunset and live music is booked for the duration of the event. The Pour House, City Dog Cantina and local Beer, Wine and Liquor sponsors provide the cocktail selection for the night. Cocktails are served in the wet zone courtyard area at Grand Central at Kennedy adjacent to Madison Street. Important facts: •Some trucks take credit cards, but not all trucks do. •Please plan to expect waiting in line for your orders. While the food is worth the wait, it does not come fast because it’s not “fast food”. These are full blown restaurants on wheels and food is made to order. •We, (Tampa Bay Markets) have no control over the speed at which the lines move. Food prep time determines the speed of the line your waiting in. •Plan to experience more than one food truck. Everyone serves something different so ordering small is key! •Consider it similar to tailgating: Most people stand and eat at Food Truck events. If you are one who likes to sit and eat, then stake out a spot on a curb or bring a chair! •Be sure to bring cash for your purchases! Vendors appreciate small bills v.s 10’s & 20’s. Some trucks do take Credit Cards, but many do not. There is an ATM on site through the courtyard area.
